Hello there it must have been like 3-4 months since the last time I came here. For those who don't know Dysfunction disbanded EPS, the team working on MLC, back in december, due to decreasing activity from the staff. There used to be a MLC version developped for the TI-86 calculators by burntfuse but I think he dropped it as well. However one of my staff member seems to have picked up developpement again and is trying to make some kind of MLC like language. I'm not sure yet if he plans to rename it since making it multi platform would be nearly impossible without killing some important features, and since there was no communication between ti community and casio community since that fall (due to most ppl leaving EPS) now both version must be totally different now. However I just wanted to let you know, as maybe some ideas could be shared once again. Here is the developpement forum:

NOTE: I am not contributing in this project anymore atm, since I don't know ASM, I just wanted to let you know that there was still a MLC being developped on TI calcs and I'm not sure what the new author is planning

When I get some time on IRC I think I'll try to talk to the guy about MLC AFX project and maybe make him come here, otherwise it would be on Omnimaga forums because Epic Programming Studios forums are spammed to death by spambots now so they are kinda unreliable

Also, I've started working on MLC for the TI-89/TI-92+/Voyage 200 series. MLC for the TI-83+ is also being made.

ok I've managed to see your page, it's very interesting: we can see on of the purpose of the mlc project:
multi platform language...
in which language do you intend to write the mlc? (asm,C...)
will the versions for the different calcs compatible? (because there is a great discrepancy between the screens..)

I'm planning on making a MLC on-computer conversion program, which should take care of any incompatibilities. I don't know enough about Casio calculators though to make it convert to/from Casio calculators.

MLC 68K is in C, MLC TI-86 and MLC TI-83+ are in assembly.

MLC isn't just meant to be Multi-Platform; it is designed to be a much faster and more powerful gaming-specific programming language too.

Is this MLC 1 or 2 ? Have a look on the MLC 2's doc to have the same spec as us.

hm ... I'm pretty sure their MLC is not compatible to the casio versions (e.g. MLC2) when I look at their page. The development was started independently and without even contacting me about detailed specs so I do also think the team does not necesarrily strive for compatibility.

I will see what I can do about a "compatibility mode" that allows their programs to be interpreted once I get detailed specs from their side, but I doubt that this will happen too soon

I'm working on some on-line documentation for MLC 68K that may interested you (http://bfr.tifreakware.net/mlcdoc). I'm also working on an on-computer conversion program that converts MLC programs from platform to platform, which will hopefully take care of any incompatibilities.

Have a look on the MLC2 doc to make your prog. You'll see MLC2 (that is not finished yet) is much more powerfull than MLC1 !!
