I am using a fx9860G and i am trying to compute an exponential regression equation. On a Ti8300 the exponential regression equation is a x b^x and on my fx9860G it is a x e^bx. I was wondering how i can make the equation on my Casio match the equation that is on the Texas Instrument? Thanks for you help.

Let uppercase B denote b on the texas and lowercase b denote b on the casio.

i) y=a.e^(bx)

is the same as:

ii) y=a.(e^b)^x (this is one of the rules of powers)

and what you are looking for is:

iii) y=a.B^x

By comparing ii) and iii) you can see that B=e^b

So whatever answer the casio gives you, use e^b to get B in the Texas equation.
