Just thought I should announce that MLC PC is in the works now and the MLC on-calc editor is being abandoned. The advantages of having MLC for the PC is not only can you try out MLC games on your PC, you can take screenshots of MLC games you have worked on. MLC PC will probably be the last interpreter of the MLC line, after that all development of MLC (TI & CASIO) will most likely cease.

First Post.

That's good, at least you don't have to send the program to the calculator for testing.
And how's the progress?

Sorry, I've been caught up in a lot of work. I'm trying to get this done as fast as I could. Some further progress on this should be announced by next week.
I have big things planned out for you guys so just hold on...

OOH OHH. i love hints like these. they keep me in suspense.
I would start programming in MLC as soon as this is done. This way i dont need to keep downloading then to my calc to test them. god damn slow sync of fa-124 XD

Sorry for being inactive for the last couple of days. Things have been kind of hectic where I live with big wildfires surrounding were I live.... I haven't been able to be on the PC much the past couple of days.
But I'm back and I plan to go forward with MLC PC. I'm wandering, do any of you guys have experience programming with the Win32 API in C?

You sent me to a WIN 32 API tutorial once. It was hard to understand so my knowledge of it isn't that great. I plan to buy a Book on it soon but I don't where to go and any good ones. I'm gonna look online for a good one and see if that gets me anywhere. But Seb must as he did to that image thingy.

I don't really have any C experience.

I just don't know where to start.

Another good idea is writing a MLC interpreter in Java. It can then run on many systems and off the web. You don't have to worry about making it work on
GNU/Linux
, Apples or Windows.

That would be so cool. You don't have to download anything, you can test your MLC programs on the web meaning you can use it on anywhere where there is a PC like in your school or when you're away from home. OMG, I convinced myself to write it in Java now...

I want to learn the Win32 API, but my local shopping center doesn't have any books. The book store says they can special order books in though. Do any of you know the name of a good book. Also the author because I need the Book name and Author to special order it XD

I suggest you learn to use Qt or some cross-platform and mature toolkit

. Qt programs are written in C++. Qt is the toolkit used in GoogleEarth and in the Opera browser. The toolkti documentation is good, but you have to know C++.

Oi, I know it's a good idea having the MLC interpreter for Java, but you won't just start making it from scratch!
First things first! Finish what you have there!

Don't worry, I'll get it finished eventually, perhaps in a couple years, just kidding... or am I?... nah, just kidding...

Seriously, that wasn't funny. Many MLC programmers depend on you and that program!!!!!!11111one

Sorry about that. Hope I didn't offend you. To tell you the truth, I haven't been able to do much programming anymore. I have things that are demanding so much out of me, it's hard trying to find the time when I can just sit down and program.
UPDATE: Yeah, so I got some portions of MLC PC written.
http://mlc-calc.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc...lc/MLCpc/trunk/ Hopefully, there is someone out there also who can continue on developing on it. The syntax parsing code works. The hardware dependent portions will have to be rewritten for Windows (ex: PIXL, GKEY, etc.)
