Also, where did you buy your cable? Is it an official CASIO cable?

Also are you sure the cable is firmly plugged into the calculator as far as it will go. Sometimes it just seems to be plugged in but can still go in further.

For the 9800, I'd recommend FA-121 v2 (Download from: http://www.spiderpix.../FA-121_2.0.rar )
And try transmitting this test file to the calculator: TESTH.CAS from http://www.spiderpix...aspro/TESTH.CAS
*First in FA-121, select the model type as fx-9700GE/fx-9900GC as these are compatible with the 9800.
*On the calculator, go into Link mode (B), Rcv (F2), Move the cursor down to Program, press EXE, One (F2), select an empty program area and press EXE.
*Using FA-121 find the location on your computer of the file TESTH.CAS and make sure it is highlighted. Then from the drop-down menu click Transmit
Tell me if the above works.

but is there an English version of FX-Interface?
and no there, were no drivers that came with it, its just using the generic Windows COM port drivers.

I will try one last time this time with FA-124. And I'm reading the manual for it, as we speak and the manual says that it should be able to connect with my CFX-9800G.
Hopefully it will work

The problem probably lies in the calculator. The receiver probably is malfunctioning. Just to make sure, do you have a multimeter where you could test the cable?

but go ahead, tell me your plan on the multimeter

have you tryed with a different computer? With a different cable? Are you really really sure you pushed the cable completely into the calculator (you have to push hard the first time)
I have and it seems the cable is officially the problem. Now it won't allow any sending or recieving of Data b/w the Calc and Comp.
I'll have to get a new cable, but I thank everyone on pitching in to help me.
